Our Turn to Help Glenn Up a Steep Climb.
Donation protected
Greetings all,
Glenn and Nancy are facing very uncertain times in their lives.
In the coming days Glenn will be placed
into a memory care facility. This will put a
heavy burden on them financially.
For twenty plus years we enjoyed what
Glenn and Nancy worked so hard to
provide. Their tours were legendary. I
remember reading an article in
Bicycling Magazine that included Glenn's
French Alps tour as one of "Ten
Hardest Things to Do On a Bike"!
Many of us were repeat customers. In fact,
once I started "working" for Glenn and
Nancy, several of my groups were 100%
veteran clients. These tours were always a bargain and although many of us urged Glenn to raise prices substantially, he always refused. He enjoyed riding with his friends and that was more satisfying than making a decent profit.
To this day, most of the people I call my
friends have some connection back not
only to cycling, but back to Erickson Cycle
Tours. Many of us can also say that they've made life-long friends all because of what Glenn and Nancy worked so hard to put
together.
And then there are all of us who perhaps
never enjoyed a tour but who were
fortunate enough to ride an Erickson
bicycle. Marci and I still have our custom
Erickson bikes and will keep them
forever.
Well folks, it's now our turn to give back.
Glenn's Parkinsons Disease symptoms
have reached the point where he
needs professional care round-the-clock.
This kind of care is expensive and will
seriously deplete their savings.
I've set a goal of $35k. I know we can do this. I just know it.
GoFundMe takes 2.9% of donations. 100%
of the rest of the money raised will be
transferred daily into an account in Nancy Erickson's name.
I'd like to ask that, at a bare minimum, you consider donating $100 for every tour you
were able to enjoy. Some of us are able to do far more than the minimum and my
hope is that you will. Every donation will
help and every donation will be much
appreciated. Let's do this!!
In addition, please share this request with anyone and everyone you think may want to help.
It's such a great cause!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
