Our Turn To Help a Helper: Cynthia Murguia

Donation protected
On December 12th at about 2:30 am in the morning, Cynthia Murguia suffered a life threatening brain hemorrhage, was put into an induced coma and given little chance to survive, to be with her two boys, Alek & Jozeph and her husband (Jose). After being taken by life-flight from El Centro to Palm Springs, where the closest available Neurosurgeon could be found, they were able to save her, evaluate her and start to plan treatment options. In the last 30-days alone, with her trademark strength, Cynthia has endured 3 major brain surgeries so far, is awaiting one more procedure and continues to fight through this challenge…just like she always has with any adversity she’s ever encountered. Alek, Jozeph and Jose, with incredible faith, courage and hope continue to stand by her side, to be with her, often away from work, away from friend & family support, away from school. Every day, they travel back and forth from their home in Imperial, now to her hospital bed in the critical care unit in a hospital in San Diego. To date, she has not regained full consciousness. They are not ones to ask for help – and if you know Cynthia (and Jose), you know they would be the first ones to give help if anyone they knew needed it instead. They are dear friends to many, volunteers with a servants heart – a wonderful family, beautiful souls. And, they could use our help. Medical bills, time off, lost earnings ability and mounting costs from travelling back & forth hundreds of miles every day, without a place to stay (without the ability to stay) are all taking a major toll, mentally, emotionally…and financially. Cynthia is a dear friend of mine, I asked for permission to set-up this GoFund Me account, because I wanted to help her, this time. I know many, many others who are family & friends have been asking for and wanting a way to help too. Please take a moment to consider giving back to a giving woman and her family. Even with every bit of good news we get about Cynthia’s condition, there are many, many miles left in her journey to recover. Any contribution, large or small, will make a huge difference and be incredibly appreciated.
