Our Turn to be there for Mark Dunn
It’s been about a year since our family
received the news that my Dad is terminally
ill with Stage IV liver cancer to go along with a genetic form of cirrhosis of the liver.
Just in case you don’t know, my father is
Mark Dunn, if you know me more than likely you know or have met my father. Mark truly
is the most giving unselfish person I’ve ever
known. In fact I would venture to say if you
are a friend of Marks and have ever been sick in the hospital or down on your luck he's
Stopped by for a visit no matter how far out
of the way or what he had going on. He cared
about people and actually showed he cared.
Mark has been married to my Mom Debbie
for 44 years they have 6 children (I’m the
oldest) and 23 grandchildren! Our family
truly has been blessed
So here's why I am asking for your help.
When Mark was diagnosed with cancer he
was working for company that provided
great benefits Health, disability, Life ins etc.
These benefits provided the treatment
necessary that has not only prolonged his life and provided as much comfort that you can
expect in his condition but also Peace of
mind especially when it comes to the life
insurance part. A few months ago we
received word that the company Mark was
working for was ”shutting down”.
This definitely tested our faith.
We have been able to get the health
insurance issue resolved, the disability has
already kicked in (but ends in the not too
distant future). Unfortunately we have lost
the life insurance and unless there is a
miracle (which we all whole heartedly believe
Can happen) there are going to be expenses when he passes from this life here on Earth
that my mom is not prepared for. To go along
with this....My Mom Debbie made the
decision to end her child care job so she can
be there for my Dad full time. Mark pretty
much requires round the clock care at this
point.
With a family this size we have all banded
together and God has met all of
the day to day needs up to this point. I have
no doubt God will continue to meet all of our needs. Most recently Mark has begun to have diminished motor skills which have impacted his ability to move around. We are having to make some modifications to the house.
We are asking all of Marks friends, family,
and anyone that feels compelled to give to
this need.
Maybe you are not in a position to give
financially right now......please give us you
thoughts and prayers. Maybe you would like to leave a short note on this page.
If you would like to give him a personal note
here is my email address
[email redacted] I will make sure he
gets it.
Here is a mailing address as well if you would like to mail anything....I will also make sure
anything sent to this address gets to my mom and dad.

Last thing....my Dad would tell all of you to
not worry about him and he would be fine......at the same time I am 100% positive that
when this situation was reversed it would be very difficult to ”out give” my father.
Especially when it came to giving really the
most valuable thing we all have.....Time. He
always took the time to show people that
there is always someone that cares.
Please take a second to like and share this.
Thank You
Adam Dunn
And the rest of the Dunn Family.
