Hi, and thank you for taking the time to have a look at this page. My name is Steve Farrell and I am the Writer/Director of the Great Yarmouth based drama/soap 'Our Town' which airs on Youtube.

Our Town started in 2017 as just a few short stories with the support of local people - a real community project. Over the years we developed into a year round production full on local soap opera - tackling real life issues through a large cast of characters. This show has given opportunity to over 300 people now, trained actors, those at the start of their acting career, and local people - we are inclusive and always happy to offer opportunity to those who want to take part in drama, keeping that original community feel.

This show makes no money, it is not about making money, it is about a group of people creating something together, building a legacy of stories and characters over a long period of time, and encouraging people to be involved in drama. Seeing the positive reviews on IMdB also show that Our Town goes beyond the people directly involved, but it has had a lasting impact on some viewers, we feel we have something special here.

It is very rare for a show big in ambition but with no financial backing to go this long, but we are soon starting filming on some 10 year anniversary episodes and that is where some financial backing is needed. In addition to the 30 self funded episodes being made for 2027, we want to add 5 extra episodes to put out a Monday to Friday '10 year anniversary week'. These episodes are big in ambition and include a full on wedding and a who done it mystery. To make this possible and be the best it can be without the extra financial burden, some fundraising is needed and anything that can be given would go a long way and be much appreciated.
