Our Teeny Tiny Little Freckle Friend Needs Help

Hey, everyone! Wow. we are finally here. it’s felt so long and yet so sudden at the same time. Most of you know Maryah's story by now, but for those who don’t, I’ll catch you up.
Maryah Tang is the young age of 25. Her favorite things are her family, her kitties, her loving and devoted husband, and cooking.
Maryah has been suffering from chronic illness and chronic pain for.. wow, maybe 10 years now. Doctors over the years just guessed a lot of things that never felt quite right. And nothing they tried worked. She has spent more days than we can count inside hospital walls.
On July 13th, just three days after her 25th birthday, she was diagnosed with MNGIES (Mitochondrial Neurogastrointestinal Encephalopathy Syndrome). It is mutation in the mitochondria in my cells and when new cells are being produced they have the same mutation. This disease is incredibly rare, less than 70 reported cases in the world. It’s also eventually fatal by mid-30s as your body just begins to break itself down. At time, she has developed some of these symptoms She has lost the majority of her hearing, ptosis (sleepy/droopy eyes), permanent nerve damage in her legs making it difficult to walk and a few other things.
It’s heavy stuff and currently there is no cure, however doctors at Columbia Hospital in New York have had success in liver transplantation as a treatment. Also, since her GI system is so messed up, they have suggested a multi visceral transplant where they will also transplant her total GI system, a surgery that has never been done before.
So here it is: . She lives in FL and her and her husband need to move to NY for a minimum of 1-2 years as she will need close evaluation by doctors in the wake of this unprecedented surgery. That’s where you guys come in.
We need help. We know that we can’t do this alone. Anything you can donate to help will be beyond our dreams. Here’s a few things that we will allocate your donations toward:
-surgery expenses
-ongoing medical care
-moving expenses
-travel for me and my family as she will need round the clock care
-living expenses (NY ain’t cheap, man)
-possible medical equipment she will need post surgery
