Hi! My name is Samantha Sharp and I am the Head Coach of the Santa Rosa High School Cheerleading Team. Our Competition Team has worked hard all season and got offered the opportunity to attend the National Championship Competition in Las Vegas! This is not only exciting for our team this season, but for our SRHS Cheerleading Program as a whole since we have not even competed in local competitions since 2009! Santa Rosa High School is a Title 1 School which means that 40% or more of our student body comes from low-income families. We would like to do whatever we can to help offset the cost of travel, hotels, and food for our Cheerleaders so we can give them all an opportunity to attend this prestige event. In our district Cheerleading is not considered a sport and therefore we have no additional funding from athletics or our district. Everything from their uniforms, to the bows on their heads, the shoes on their feet, and everything in between has either been paid for out of pocket by their families or fundraised by the Cheerleaders themselves. The money raised through this gofundme will go to help the entire team get to nationals. The cost per Cheerleader is $910 and we have 20 Cheerleaders on our Competition Team.
