She is not 100%, and we still have a long road of recovery ahead… but she fought her way through the worst of it. She survived shock. She survived multiple transfusions. She survived when things looked impossible. And now — she is coming home Friday evening. We have crossed the major, life-threatening hurdle. Now the real healing begins. For her. And for us. Because of your prayers, your shares, your donations, and me digging deeper than I knew I could — we reached the finish line of the emergency phase. But there is one final hurdle. In order for her to be released, she must go home with the medications that will keep her stable and protect everything she fought for. Some are short-term. Some will be long-term. The total cost of her discharge medications and immediate continued care is approximately $2,500. I have pulled every rabbit out of every hat I own. I am financially spent. I have nothing left to move around. This is my final ask. Izzy is 9½ years old and has never met a stranger. She is pure love in dog form. Izzy was diagnosed with two life-threatening autoimmune diseases: Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) and Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia (ITP). Her immune system is attacking her own red blood cells and platelets. She is severely anemic and incredibly weak. The first 72 hours are critical, and she needs constant monitoring, repeat bloodwork, medications, and potentially a blood transfusion to survive this.

We are doing everything we can, but emergency veterinary care is overwhelming us financially. We are trying to raise funds to cover immediate hospital and treatment costs so Izzy can keep fighting. She isn’t “just a dog.” She’s our shadow, our comfort, our heart. She sleeps beside us. She follows us everywhere. She trusts us completely.
