Our Sweet Buena Girl Needs Surgery to Beat Cancer

We're raising funds to provide surgery for our sweet girl Buena to have tumors removed.

Back in November, we noticed Buena was drinking a lot more water than normal, so we took her in to get checked out. When our normal vet's testing didn't give any answers, we took her to an internal medicine specialist who found two tumors: one on her adrenal gland and one on her thyroid. One or both of these tumors are most likely cancerous, but to be able to determine that, she needs a very expensive surgery to remove them. She'll need a CT scan that will cost around $3,000, and then surgery and hospitalization that will cost around $12k. Our vet has told us that while she may need chemotherapy afterward, it's also possible that they can remove both tumors successfully without any further treatment.

We have pet insurance, but it has a cap that will only make a small dent, so we are looking for your help to raise some funds to help us. Any leftover funds we have will go to her care for the rest of the year and any potential chemotherapy as we will absolutely max out our insurance on this treatment.

Buena is the sweetest, most loving dog we've ever had. She’s always there to cheer us up with her dumb antics. She's a sensitive little soul who just wants to be near her humans and give love to everyone she meets. She's only 7 years old and has been with us since she was a 5-week-old puppy.
