Our sweet boy, Chance

Hi, my name is Ashley. I am a pregnant wife and mother of 2 kids, Miyah who is 10 & Jonah who is almost 8. We have a very special doggy named Chance. We have had him his whole life pretty much. We got him when he was left abandoned at a gas station. Ever since then, he has become part of the family. My kids call him brother, when someone asks how many siblings they have, they count him as a brother. He has loved us beyond imaginable, and he has brought so much joy and love and laughter. He loves to talk. Everyone who meets him says they've never met a dog who will literally sit and talk to you. He has been through some tough times with us, and he's been through amazing times with us. He's part of our family. ❤️

Saturday, June 24th, we woke up to him screaming and whining in pain. It happened out of nowhere. He has never acted like that before so we knew something was terribly wrong with him. He was limping and wouldn't put any pressure on his front left paw. We immediately took him to the emergency vet (as it was a Saturday and no other vets were open) and they told us "oh its probably a sprain or a pulled muscle" and they sent us home with some sedatives and pain medication for him. Not even 5 hours later, he starts screaming and whining in pain, non stop! We took him again to another ER vet and my husband sat with him outside of that vet for 6 hours to be seen. They did x-rays and gave him some more sedatives and basically said the same thing as the first vet. "OH take him home and let him rest, there's no broken bones or fractures". We were left with no answers and paid out over $900. We are a hard working family of 4. We struggle to pay our bills as it is and this was just a major hit to us financially. But, we had to try to get answers for our boy! Sunday goes by, he's done nothing but lay down. His arm has gotten progressively worse and now is super swollen. I sent pictures of his swollen leg to the vet and he called me back saying he's concerned with how bad it has gotten in such a short amount of time. He looked over the notes from the ER vet and he says based on Chances symptoms, he now believes it could be a tumor, or an infection or possibly even something cancerous pushing on his muscles or joints. He wants to refer us to a specialist to have a CT scan done on him. That alone, not even with treatment for whatever diagnosis he gets, is over $1500. There is now a lump growing by the minute under his arm and up his chest (pics added below) so we need this looked at immediately!

We love our dog more than anything and we want to find out a solution to this! I cannot afford the scan or treatment. I am putting my pride to the side for him and I am asking for help funding the vet bills to try to help my baby! He is the sweetest, smartest, most loving and loyal dog and he deserves a chance! He deserves to live a long and happy life! If you can please donate, it would mean the world to me and my family! God bless you! ❤️
