We want to start by saying thank you — from the bottom of our hearts. The support, prayers, shares, and donations for our 2-year-old golden retriever, Bentley, have meant more to us than we can ever put into words. Bentley recently faced the fight of his life. After undergoing emergency stomach surgery, devastating complications arose, and he urgently needed a second stomach surgery just to survive. We are incredibly grateful to share that Bentley made it through his second surgery successfully. However, the fight wasn’t over. During this critical time, Bentley also required an emergency blood transfusion to stabilize him and keep him alive. It was a terrifying moment, and we truly believe the skill of his veterinary team — along with the overwhelming support from all of you — saved his life. While we are beyond thankful that Bentley is still with us, his journey is far from over. The road ahead will be long and difficult. He faces an extended recovery that includes ongoing hospitalization, medications, follow-up care, monitoring, and a slow rehabilitation process. Bentley is still very weak, and every day is a careful step forward. The medical expenses have continued to grow with the second surgery, the blood transfusion, and the intensive care he requires. We are doing everything possible to give Bentley the time, treatment, and love he needs to heal. Every donation continues to go directly toward Bentley’s medical care and recovery.
