Our Support for Gail during a difficult time!

Dear Members of our perioperative department,

It is with great sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that Gail Jones, CRNA has suffered a profound loss. Her husband of over 26 years, Russel Jones tragically passed away in a plane crash while landing Georgia. Russel was a pilot instructor who was accompanied by a student whose life was also claimed as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

This is an unimaginable tragedy, and our hearts go out to Gail and her family during this incredibly difficult time. I know many of you work closely with her and will feel the weight of this news deeply.

As a team, we hope we can come together in compassion and support. Right now, Gail will be taking time away from work to be with her loved ones, and we will fully support her in any way she needs. Members of the anesthesia department have created a GoFundMe page for Gail and her family with hopes a small gift from us will help them with whatever they may need.
