Somerton Youth Organization is a private non-profit, youth organization, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which encourages personal and athletic development by providing a variety of athletic offerings for children ages 4-16 since 1955. SYO promotes sportsmanship, self-esteem, and life skills development through competitive play while providing a safe, healthy, positive environment where the youth in and around the surrounding communities can learn the fundamentals of sports.

Football has been a consistent part of the Somerton Youth Organization since its inception in 1955. Over the past 67 years, the Somerton football program has fostered a long history of championship teams who’ve competed and won many titles at the NESAC League level, City-Wide Championship level and, at the United Youth Football League Championship in 2019.

To date, our current 9U and 12U teams are battling through undefeated seasons with hopes to win their respective NESAC League Championships, earning bids to the 2022 UYFL Championships in Plant City, Florida. At this time, both teams have been working to raise money to offset costs associated with UYFL team registration fees, as well as travel and lodging expenses for the players. It is our hope that we can raise enough money to cover every child's registration and travel expenses.
