Our son Elijah

Hi my name is Grissel and Steven we are Elijah's parents. Our son Elijah has been battling with an autoimmune Liver Disease since age 14 diagnosed at All Childrens Hospital. He has been in and out the hospital. At age 20 his Disease had progressed and because of his deterioration condition had to stop working. After multiple biopsy,blood work results, MRI, Ultra sound Tampa General has made a decision he in need of a liver transplant to live a healthy life.

In December 2021 Elijah was admitted at Tampa General and was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosis Cholangitis (chronic liver disease) and Esophageal Varices (when blood flow to liver is blocked).His condition is rare to see in a young healthy boy. The hospital is monitoring Elijah very closely with weekly blood work and hospital visits. Elijah is currently on the liver transplant list can can be called in any moment.

Financially this has been extremely overwhelming. We are asking our friends and family for donations in regards to the abundance of medical bills we are receiving.

Watching our son suffer has been the hardest thing we had to do. Steve, our two daughters and I are constantly trying to make him as comfortable as possible. We are a strong family and continue to have faith in God. As many of you all know, Elijah has a kind loving heart and a wonderful sence of humor. He is a true fighter and we are so proud of him. His fight isn't over yet so please keep our son in your prayers and we thank you for your support.
