Thirty years ago my mom opened the doors to Our Small World Children’s Center. A new business owner, single mother to two little girls, armed only with her extreme work ethic and a little bit of hope, she began to see the fruits of her labor pay off.

One child at a time, one family at a time, Our Small World grew and became a part of the fabric of the community. As it blossomed, so did her commitment to providing the children with the best tools to be able to tackle whatever lay in their futures; from fundamentals as the ABC’s and 123’s, to learning how to make friends and navigate their feelings. The everlasting memories have been too many to count.

Recently our center was devastated by extreme water damage, and the cost to repair is considerable. The walls and ceiling have been significantly impacted, some already collapsed destroying carpeting, tables, chairs, books and toys. This year has already been incredibly difficult, due to the challenges brought on by the state of the economy. We’re looking to the community for help.
