Michelle's Brave Battle

Story

Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page.  It is with heavy hearts that we have launched this campaign to support our beloved friend, Michelle, who is courageously battling terminal breast cancer.  This decision was not an easy one, especially because anyone who knows Michelle knows that she struggles with accepting help, of any kind.  She is the one who has ALWAYS been there for EVERYONE else, and we know this is very difficult for her.  Michelle has deeply touched the hearts and souls of so many people and has made a lasting impression on everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her.  As the song says, “to know her is to love her.”  We feel this is the least we can do to help give back for all she has blessed us with.To tell you a little bit about Michelle’s story, she was originally diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the early age of 36.  After extremely rough IV chemotherapy treatments, followed by a double mastectomy and radiation therapy, our “Warrior” went into remission.  Sadly, last October, almost five years later to the month, she was told the devastating news that her cancer had returned and there is no cure this time.Michelle is no longer able to work. Her and her husband, Mark, have three great kids; Abigail is 11, Tylre is 19, and Oliver is 20, and both boys attend college.  With all the trips to Dana Farber and other medical necessities, she is left with thousands in out of pocket expenses each month, even after insurance.  This is not only a horrible disease for her to fight, try to stay strong and feel like herself for as long as possible but has also been crushing financially. It is with deep appreciation that we ask for donations of any amount to help ease the burden on this wonderful family.  All proceeds will go directly Michelle and her family.God bless you all and thank you.Loving Supporters of Michelle & Family
