Our Rescue dog Xena

We came across Xena when me and my partner were on trip up in mountains in Lumiar, Brazil.

We were heading downtown to grab a bite, as we were coming down our hotel street we passed by this house and noticed a dog that was chained up and showing signs of distress. We didn’t think much of it because we thought the owners were there to take care of her. We kept thinking about her all day. The next day during our breakfast at the hotel we asked the hotel owner if she knew anything about her neighbors dog.

She had told us that Xena’s owners passed away from Covid 3 years ago, and their son who inherited the house didn’t have much time to visit their country house, so he pays a worker to mow their lawn and feed Xena every few days

We couldn’t believe that, out hearts were broken. So we decided to take action. Instead of calling animal services we wanted to give her a life full of love and a place where she could feel safe.

As we were taking her, the worker showed up so we asked him a bunch of questions.

He said that Xena has been rescued by her family about 7 years ago from a violent home.

But unfortunately her owners passed from Covid, and she has been chained up outside for at least 3 years, maybe more…

He also mentioned that they have been looking for someone to take her, but since she was old no one would take her.

We told him we were taking her, he gave us the ok without hesitation. Honestly even if he didn’t give us the okay I would’ve done anything in my power to take her out of that misery and loneliness.

Long story short, we brought this angel home with us.

With Xena we now have 13 rescue dogs.

We never asked for donations before, but after a while, 13 rescue dogs and 25 rescue cats becomes heavy on our pockets. We also feed all the stray cats in our neighborhood and when we can afford we neuter/spay them.

I created this gofund me with the intention of raising money to help with veterinary costs, food, medicine etc. for not only Xena but for all our other rescues. Please take some time to watch my other TikTok videos where I show the love we spread.
