OUR QUEST TO SAN DIEGO FOR OUR little BRODIE
Donation protected
At the tender age of 15 days old, what started with a fever that had us taking Brodie to the Emergency Room, it was later discovered that our little Sonshine was diagnosed with Hydronephrosis. Since then, he's developed scarring to his kidney, multiple UTIs, frequent fevers, and more visits to the ER than any child should have experienced at this age. In short, Hydronephrosis is the reflux of urine backing up into the kidneys, creating scarring and swelling, amongst other complications. The hopeful advice from the doctors is that we wait to see if he may outgrow his condition as he grows older was proved to be, unfortunately, not the case. At now 16 months old, the doctors ordered corrective surgery ASAP in San Diego, California, due to his illness being too severe to wait any longer.
With many uncertainties, including a set date of our return to Saipan, I've decided to start a Gofundme with high hopes to raise funds for essential obligations back home, help assist our current stay in San Diego, California and defray the flight cost back to Saipan. With very little time to prepare from our busy life in Saipan with a total of 5 kids, including Brodie, we took care and advanced many items as we possibly could back home, and Brodie, myself and Loling made our quest out here to support our little man and get him the specialized help he requires. While in San Diego for Brodie, we still have car payments, rent, utilities, and the 9 yards back home. If our trip decision had a financial factor, one parent would have stayed home and continued working. However, nothing, NOTHING, beats the love of a parent. We both wanted to be here, even if it meant emptying the savings account. Loling or I couldn't have considered staying back in Saipan to continue working when Brodie needs us more than ever at this critical part of his life. We want to be there to soothe, nurse his wounds and calm his worries as any caring parent would. We likewise needed each other to provide comforting support as parents during this uneasy situation. With your help, we, the parents, can also have some slight relief until we return home to reunite Brodie with his sisters and brothers, who miss him so so so much and is anxious for his recovery and return. I wholeheartedly appreciate you all so much, and THANK YOU should you choose to donate; and please continue to keep Little Brodie in your prayers! Much LOVE !
