Our Pup's Road to Recovery - The Journey Through One Eye
Donation protected
On November 19th, our beloved dog, Bella, was in a horrible accident in our neighborhood. She has always been a hearty little dog with no previous health problems, so it is with a heavy heart that we ask for your help. Despite the accident leaving her face scarred, without an eye and currently suffering a fractured jaw, our vet has called her a warrior through this battle.
Bella has become such an integral part of our family. She has always been a lively dog, ready to play, yet always knowing when to cuddle. At nine years old, she's often confused for a puppy as her playful self always seems to shine through. It breaks our hearts to see her in this state as we remember her cheerful self. Her road to recovery is long but I can see, even now in our short walks, Bella still has the drive to walk a little faster and continue to be the bright (one) eyed good girl we all know.
We are grateful for the support we've gotten from our friends and family so far, and all the love and help we've gotten throughout the years for our baby Bella. This was an unexpected expense for us and we are humbly asking for help with her medical bills. We have already covered her eye surgery but she urgently needs a procedure done for her mandibular symphyseal fracture as well as the removal of several broken teeth. She has extreme difficulty eating and, of course, can no longer play with her toys (her favorite activity). Any contributions will go directly toward her treatment and recovery. We deeply appreciate your generosity, through donations or simply sharing this campaign.
Thanks so much for your time and support during this difficult time.
As we get our one-eyed pirate accustomed to her environment, please enjoy these snapshots of her throughout the years.
