Hi friends, family, Facebook associates.

We’ve fallen on some hard times, and we’re making just enough money to pay our rent and a utility every now and then, gas, essentials, etc. Something always gets pushed aside/neglected because we don’t have a choice. I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t feel desperate, and it sure is embarrassing asking other hard-working people, probably struggling themselves, for some cash to help my family…I know, it sounds insane. And even if nobody can afford to help me right now, at least I’m putting this out there and trying.

I’ll be door dashing all day too, trying to come up with the money myself. And returning bottles. But our power shut off yesterday morning and we’ve been doing everything in our power to get it turned back on. DTE is usually the thing that gets neglected because there are programs like ‘SER’ that can help put your account on hold while you’re getting your money right and not shut your service off. Anyways, I’ve used SER to help us to the point where I no longer can use it during this fiscal year.

It’s gonna take $365 to get our power back on tonight, given our low-income household. That’s all we need to make happen so we can get our lights back on and not lose all our groceries in our fridge. Again, I know this is embarrassing and I’m putting myself out there to get made fun of/laughed at. But I’ll do whatever I have to do to get our power back on.
