Our people from Oaxaca need support!

Hi, my name is Manolo Tascon and together with my partner Jimena Carranza we are fundraising to support the local communities in the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca Mexico.

Hurricane Ágatha hit that area very strong just a few days ago and many families lost everything and they need help.

The entire area lost water and electricity and and won’t be back until a few weeks from now.

The people from the local communities had to leave their flooded houses and are currently living in shelters.

They need the most basics: Tin roofs for their houses (because it keeps raining), potable water, and food.

We are coordinating with the representatives of the local communities to understand what they need and how we can help.

In the last year my family and I have had the privilege to become part of one of the local communities in Tonameca, Oaxaca because of a project that we are doing over there.

My brother Rodrigo and his partner Giulia have been living there for a few months and they are telling us that many of our friends, colleagues, neighbors, are in real need for help. They lost everything and don’t even have potable water.

We will be delivering personally the things and will share pictures for all of you.

Let’s contribute to help these people who really needs it.

Hace unos días el Huracán Agatha pego muy fuerte en la costa Oaxaqueña y afecto particularmente a muchas comunidades de Tonameca, Oaxaca.

Los recursos del gobierno se han destinado principalmente a las zonas con mayor turismo como Mazunte, Zipolite, etc. 

Pero hay muchas otras zonas de muy escasos recursos en donde no hay tanto turismo y que necesitan de nuestro apoyo. 
 

Se fue la luz y el agua en toda la zona y no se sabe cuándo volverá. 



De momento lo que se necesita es lo más básico: Techos de lámina para las casas porque casi todas se volaron, víveres, agua potable y despensa. 



Dependiendo del éxito en los recursos que logremos recaudar, podremos también atender a las necesidades relacionadas a la reconstrucción de las casas, comprando materiales de construcción, palas y equipo para arreglar caminos, deslaves, etc. 



Tenemos amigos, colegas, vecinos, conocidos que necesitan de nuestro apoyo y eso podemos lograrlo con la participación de todos! 


Esto es un llamado a que se sumen a una gran causa apoyando a gente que realmente lo necesita!!
