please help our parents after our mom broke her neck

Hello, my name is Jamie Tucker. Yesterday our mom fell off her deck after the railing broke. She had to be taken to the ER via ambulance as she landed on her head/neck. She has limited flexibility in her neck due to past surgeries and problems so when she fell, the impact broke her 1st vertebrae. After several hours in the ER, she was taken via helicopter to Iowa City. As of now, she's an MRI and a CT scan. We still don't know the extent of the injuries and if anything else is fractured at this time and we don't know the extent of the damage done. Depending on the damage, she will need either surgery to attempt to fix it or a special brace to stabilize her neck while it has time to heal. This means that our dad is currently unable to work as he is in Iowa City with her. They have bills, our dad is a diabetic and still needs his medication, they will have increased medical bills due to this incident, and we don't know how long they will be there and dad will need to eat.
