Hello! Our names are Sam Jenkins and Anna Werking. We are thrilled to share our passion project with you and humbly request your support in bringing it to life. Our team of dedicated filmmakers is taking part in a 7 day journey to create a short film that will captivate and introduce a new form of storytelling to audiences.

The story: Our Own Creation tells the story of a young couple protecting a little girl in the apocalypse and keeping her sheltered from the fallen world around her. Trying desperately to find a sanctuary to settle in, they discover a ranch that seems too good to be true. Together they must discover if they have finally found a place to call home or something sinister.

The filmmakers: Graduating together from Liberty University, we’ve created several short films together that have gone on to win awards and help us become better filmmakers. With a shared love for storytelling, we have poured our hearts and souls into crafting a compelling narrative that explores unique perspectives and tells the story of humankind in a unique way. Our short film delves into the complexities of the human experience, weaving together emotions, conflicts, and what happens when we are pushed too far with no accountability.

The vision: We firmly believe in the power of film to evoke empathy, provoke thought, and ignite conversations that can maybe even drive positive change. We want to turn this into a 6 part story on YouTube, with this short film being episode 1. Our project aims to create a new way of telling stories through television and visually stunning piece of art that leaves a lasting impact on viewers, while also subverting expectations and keeping audiences on their toes, always wondering what’s going to happen next.

The process of bringing a film to life involves various aspects, from pre-production to post-production. As independent filmmakers, we face the challenge of limited resources. Your generous contributions will enable us to secure quality equipment, hire talented actors, scout unique locations, and cover essential production costs. Additionally, your support will contribute to post-production expenses such as editing, sound design, and color grading, ensuring that our film reaches its full potential.
