Our lives changed in January 2026. We won’t say they changed for the worst—because we believe this is the first chapter of our new story.
On that day, Melissa went in for what we thought would be a routine mammogram and breast ultrasound. The results were not what we hoped for. A few days later, we met with the breast specialist who, after another exam, gently told us she was 90% sure it was breast cancer.
In that moment, everything paused. We took a deep breath—one that allowed us to slow down, feel every emotion, and start to process what this new road ahead might look like. That deep breath turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
Over the past three months, we’ve been learning, researching, watching, praying, and transforming our lives in ways we never imagined. We’ve asked God for healing, for wisdom, and for peace. We’ve committed to becoming healthy in every way possible—body, mind, and spirit.

Many people have asked, “Is there anything you need?” The answer is yes—and I’m going to be very specific:
1. We need your prayers, and we need a lot of them. Please keep Melissa’s healing in your daily intentions.

3. We need monetary donations. A dear friend recently reminded me that most families are just one major event away from financial collapse. I never thought it would be us—but we find ourselves in the middle of it right now. This has been a humbling experience, but we need your help more than ever.
