Hi, my name is Ellie and I’m one of the children of the person this fundraiser is about. My mum recently passed quite unexpectedly (despite having many previous health issues) and it has left me and my sister in a predicament where we can’t afford to give her the wake that she wanted. I was caring for my mum for the past few years and have not been working else where and therefore I have no savings or money that I’m able to use to help give her the amazing wake she deserves.

Losing your mum at any age is absolutely devastating but losing her when I am only 20 makes me that much more devastated that she’s never going to watch me properly grow and achieve so many milestones.

I would like to be able to give her a nice big wake with all of her friends and family and I want the day to be a celebration of her life rather then a day to mourn the dead because every day has been like that since she’s been gone and I know she wouldn’t want us to be this sad. If anyone can donate anything I appreciate it so much more than you realise and you will be helping to celebrate the life of an amazing human being who sacrificed her whole life to be mine and my sisters mother.
