Calling all Northeast Raiders from Broken Arrow Public Schools!
Raise your hand if you loved elementary school PE with Ms. Teehee!
Remember when Ms. Teehee told us to pick the grass during warm-up exercises? Turns out, she wanted us to touch our toes! Who didn’t love tumbling mat days or scooter tag? How many ribbons did you get at track-and-field day? Be damned the President's Physical Fitness test and those endless PE sessions where our little triceps couldn't hold us for 874 minutes on the chin-up bar. We didn’t know if we could do it, but she always believed in us!
If ever there was someone who loved us all - it was Ms. Teehee. This Christmas 2019, she was sent to the ER with blood in her brain - and days later had a brain tumor removed. It is with the utmost sadness to hear she will enter hospice care in the coming days. It should be no surprise however, according to a recent post from her family, she is still smiling. A beautiful soul.
Please help us create something in her honor. She should know that she made the world a better and bigger place for her students and instilled love and appreciation for physical fitness. Ms. Teehee’s own chosen words from a recent Facebook post speak volumes: "The true purpose of arts education, is not to create more professional dancers or artists, but to create more complete human beings who are critical thinkers, with curious minds, who can live more productive lives." She has always been the one who wanted more for us.
This funding page is to honor Ms. Teehee and show her that we know how much she cared - and she has touched many of us. She deserves to be honored in a way that future generations will know who she was and what she stood for. The money collected will go towards the purchase of much needed playground equipment for Northeast Elementary School (now called Rhodes Elementary School) in honor of Ms. Teehee from her NORTHEAST ELEMENTARY RAIDERS PE STUDENTS and Friends. A dedication plaque will accompany the gift.
