Our mother's funeral expenses
Donación protegida
My name is Liz. My sister passed away last night and I'm helping my dear neice and nephews put this together to help them through this hard time. Here is their story:
My name is Amanda, with a heavy heart, I'm writing this with my 2 brothers, Lance and Cameron. Our beautiful mother Jennifer Sumsion passed away unexpectedly last night at the young age of 46. She was a kind, sweet soul that loved to help others with a beautiful and unique disposition on life. She loved her family deeply and was happiest cooking for everyone. This picture was taken just one week ago at Temple Square. She was so happy that day. She just welcomed her son home from his mission only 3 weeks ago and in this picture, you can see how much she loves us. She was the best mother anyone could ask for and always put our needs first. We always knew that we meant everything to her. Her last post on Facebook talked about how proud she was of us:
"No other success in life can compensate for failure in the home. The poorest shack in which love prevails over a united family is of greater value to God and future humanity that any other riches. In such a home God can work miracles and will work miracles."
-David O McKay
"3 amazing kids, 3 missions in 6 years, this is my miracle."
Each of us wanted to share some thoughts with you:
“I love my mother. She was such good example of faith. Last night was so painful to hear she had left this mortal life. She had such a powerful testimony in the gospel. I truly know it was this testimony that helped my siblings and I to do all we can to have our lives in tune with Heavenly Father to the best our abilities” Lance Sumsion
“My beautiful angel mother unexpectedly returned to the arms of Heavenly Father last night. It's hard to express what I'm feeling right now other than immense love and gratitude for the woman that gave me life. She was so caring & full of love. I am so proud to be her daughter & to have the privilege to call her my mom. I know that you will always watch over me, be with me and I know that one day we'll be reunited because families are forever. Te amo pra sempre mãe. Você sempre será meu anjo.” Amanda Sumsion
“Yesterday my amazing angel mother unexpectedly passed beyond the veil into the Spirit world. Words cannot describe my love for her and the anguish I feel at her passing. I know that this is all apart of Heavenly Father's perfect plan even though I don't understand it all. It's a miracle that I got to be home with her from my mission for a couple weeks before she passed.” Cameron Sumsion
With the holidays around the corner, we are devastated with her sudden loss. As a single mother, she didn't have much money set aside. We are all young students and are scrambling to come up with the funeral and burial expenses. We are asking for all of the help we can get to raise enough money to cover these necessary expenses. By sending what you can, we can honor our mother to the best of our abilities. We are so grateful for your generosity and our family can never thank you enough. Hold your loved ones tight and God bless. Even if you can only spare $5.00 or $20.00, it will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated by our family. Pass this along to help spread the word. Your love and support is truly a miracle to us.
