Our Mother’s Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
Never in a million years did we think we would be writing something like this, but here it goes
We are reaching out to speak about our beloved mother of 4, Cheryl. As many of you know, our mom fought a battle with breast cancer back in 2016-2017. Just before Christmas, we got news that her cancer had returned. Shortly after Christmas, we found out it was stage 4: on both lungs, and in her lymph nodes. In the coming weeks, we will find out the full extent of its metastasis. On top of this devastation, our mom has suffered a fall that left her with a broken sternum limiting her mobility for 6 weeks. This devastating news has changed our lives forever, and we are desperate to explore every possible avenue to help her in this battle.
Despite the Canadian medical system's best efforts, our mother's condition is currently deemed incurable. However, we refuse to give up hope. We know that alternative treatments and therapies are available that could provide her with the chance to prolong her life, improve her quality of living, and make this fight easier for her. Unfortunately, many of these treatments are not covered by our healthcare system, and seeking care outside of the medical system comes with significant financial burdens. Our mom has had to stop working in order to heal, and pursue treatments and care.
We are asking for your support to help us raise funds to cover the costs associated with alternative medicine, travel expenses, and various treatments that we hope will give our mother a fighting chance. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in our journey and will help us provide her with the care she deserves.
Our mother is a resilient and loving person who has always been there for us, always given her all to us, and poured everything she has had into her children, as a mother does. From ball tournaments and science fairs as kids, to help with tuitions or pets or whatever her kids need in adulthood, she has always been there. Now it is time for us to be there for her. We want to give her the opportunity to fight this disease with all the resources available, and we simply cannot do this alone. There is a simple saying that says “It takes a village”. Now is the time that we need our community, our village.
Please consider making a donation and sharing this with your network. Your generosity and support mean the world to us during this difficult time. Together, we can help our mom in her fight against cancer and give her the hope she needs.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
With love and gratitude,
Cheryl’s whole family
