In 2018 my mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. They took out her ovaries and did a complete hysterectomy, she also got some radiation. After all that they told her it was all gone and she was good. In March of this year (2022) she went to the ER for the first time due to severe back pain, they just looked at her back and told her it was sciatic nerve pain. Since March she went to the ER several other times, but every doctor said it was sciatic nerve pain and refused to do a MRI. One day she ran into an old coworker from a doctor office she used to work for and told her whats going on. The doctor she used to work for ended up doing an MRI for her which is where they found a baseball sized tumor in her back. After that she found an oncologist and they did a pet scan and bone biopsy. They found several other lesions, 2 on her spine , 1 on her rib and 2 on her collar bones. It turns out her endometrial cancer has came back and is now stage 4 endometrial bone cancer. Her bones are deteriorating and my mom needs to start chemo treatment immediately, but as of now we are waiting to see if she gets approved for medicaid since the insurance she has right now doesn’t cover her treatment. Anything will help us in this time of need.
