My dear Mother María Guadalupe Gonzalez, most people know her as Lupita, was diagnosed on 6/5/19 Liver Adenocarcinoma Cancer. She was diagnosed in Mission Texas and we made the decision to bring her to MD Anderson in Houston. Thank God we did because upon examining her the doctors discovered my mother also had pneumonia. She was then admitted for treatment.
Yesterday 6/14/19 we got some devastating news that it is stage 4. These are the worst and most terrifying times our family is facing. The waiting game is the worst! We don’t know what her plan for treatment will be at this time but we do know she needs to relocate to be near the hospital in Houston.
It has been a difficult financial strain on myself and my siblings to take the time off from work and travel to Houston, pay for hotels and other expenses to be there for our Mother. We know it will be a long road as she begins this battle! We are in the process of figuring out her living situation in Houston.
If you know my mother, you know she is and has always been very active. If you know me you know she is my travel partner, I take my mom with me everywhere. She is a huge Dallas Cowboy fan! She has 3 daughters and 2 sons. She has 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and one on the way. My mother is our everything, our rock and we will do everything to be here for her through it all.
We will stay strong in our faith and hold onto hope that she will make it through and have a full recovery! We know in our hearts that we made the right decision to bring her to Houston and we have faith that her doctors will do everything in their power to give her the treatment she needs to conquer this!
We ask you to please join us in prayer for my Mom as she begins this journey. I created this GoFundMe to raise money for my mother and her expenses. If you find it in your heart to make a donation, please know that no donation is too small and we are truly grateful! Thank you to our friends and family that have already reached out to help. Thank you so much for the prayers and good thoughts! Please share her Gofundme page with your family and friends.
Lots of Love from the Gonzalez family!
