Our Mom’s suffering from SPS…
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aixa. I want to share with you about my mom’s health and her incapacity to be able to walk at all.
Since May 23, 2022 she stopped walking and was misdiagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) Doctors where doing many labs, scans, and researches about her health condition. They tried also different ways to treat her and Mom was still not feeling well. Pain all the time and feeling miserable weren’t our expectations.
While in Mayo Clinic doctors were able to find out that my mom had Stiff Person
Syndrome; that’s why now we want to spread the word about it(SPS) which is a rare progressive neurological disorder. Symptoms may include stiff muscles in the trunk (torso), arms, and legs;also noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can cause muscle spasms.
It has been a long and sad journey for all of us as her family, and all her friends too, seeing her suffering for all this neurological disorder.
Treatments are expensive and some of them are not covered by her health insurance, including her transportation in a wheelchair accessible van and the future Botox treatment in between others.
There is not a lot of information of the syndrome and those who are diagnosed are one in a million which is a disadvantage for them since there are not enough funds for doing researches to help my Mom or others who are in her situation.
Our goal is to be able to give her the chance to provide the treatments available and the resources to pay for the transportation or what is better than that,to buy a van for that purpose.
Any donation amount helps tremendously!
We trust God, and we have faith that our Mom, grandmother of 4 beautiful children, will walk back again one day.
We thank God for the outpouring of love, prayers, and generosity from family and friends who have been helping us financially.
Any donation amount helps tremendously. Thank you for spreading the word and for joining us as we continue placing our faith in God for my Mom’s sooner recovery and her spiritual strength.
