Hello everybody, our names are Caiden (8), Austin (17), and Jasmine (20), and we are the children of the strongest mother, sister, aunt, and best friend that we know. This might be long, but please read it all.
About 2 years ago, our mom was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, and that was probably the worst news to hear as kids. Well, she went through chemo and radiation, and it was just sad seeing her like that and always sick. After a year of that, she beat the cancer... so we thought.
A year or so later, it came back again in a different spot. This was heartbreaking to us again, and we know this time is a lot more serious. So the doctors said the only way she will live is through surgery to remove her large intestines and then have to have a colostomy bag for the rest of her life. She doesn’t deserve this; she has done nothing wrong to anyone... why her??
So 3 days ago, she had the procedure, and it went well. The doctors saved our mom, but she has to have a colostomy bag forever now, and we feel so bad. She is going to be so uncomfortable. They had to take a muscle from her inner thigh and put it in the area where the large intestine was removed for support. So we are asking for help with anything to help with our parents' expenses for the bills insurance may not cover, for the colostomy bags, and help while she recovers for the next 6 months. We want her to be as comfortable as possible, and all these things add up, and we don’t want that financial burden on our parents during this time. We pray to God cancer doesn’t try to fight our mom again because she has a record of 2-0, so hopefully that sends a message to any future cancer that you will NOT beat our mom!! Our prayers are to all the families currently fighting cancer or know someone that is. It’s very hard to watch someone you love go through this, which is why we appreciate anything you can donate to help our mom.
She told me not to do this GoFundMe because she doesn’t like asking for help, but we want the best for her, and for the next 6 months, we want her to have whatever she wants or needs to make this as smooth as possible so they are not stressing about money. Thank you to all who donated, and God bless.
