A few weeks ago, our lives changed forever. My mother, the heart and soul of our family, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke - a severe and life-threatening condition caused by bleeding on the brain. In a terrifying moment, she had to be airlifted to the hospital by emergency medical flight.
She is currently in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) in Louisiana, surrounded by doctors and nurses who have done everything to stabilize her. We are beyond grateful that she survived, but the stroke has left her paralyzed on her left side and she faces a long road of physical rehabilitation and speech therapy to regain her independence.
If you know my mom, you know how strong and selfless she is. She’s always been the one taking care of everyone else — the first to lend a hand. Seeing her unable to move or speak the way she used to has been heartbreaking, but we’re holding on to hope and faith that she’ll have complete healing with the right care and support.
Doctors have approved that she could be transported to a specialized rehabilitation facility closer to her home in Georgia for the best chance at recovery. Unfortunately, the costs — from medical transport to home renovations for accessibility, to household bills while she’s unable to work — are more than we can manage alone.
We’re humbly asking for your help to raise $12,000 to cover:
• Safe medical transport to the rehab center near home
• Home modifications for her recovery (wheelchair access, safety equipment, etc.)
• Household and living expenses during her healing journey
Every donation, every prayer, and every share makes a real difference. No amount is too small — each gesture brings us one step closer to helping my mom rebuild her life after this devastating stroke.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for your prayers, shares, and generosity. Your love, compassion, and support mean more to my family than words can express. ❤️❤️
