We are reaching out to our friends, family and community for help. Our mom, Ineke Van Randwijk, has been diagnosed with stage IV cancer. She was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2012. She had extensive surgeries at that time and was cancer free all these years until this past winter when the doctors found cancer in her chest, lungs and liver.
She began chemotherapy on March 27th. As her cancer was at an advanced stage, she was encouraged to seek advice from the Integrated Health Clinic in Langley.
The Integrated Health Unit utilizes natural practitioners with a knowledge of conventional cancer treatments. They provide additional, natural treatments that improve the benefits of chemotherapy and have the potential to put cancer into remission.
You can read more about that treatment method on their website:
Given the severity of our mom’s situation, the doctors have recommended the following life extending treatments:
- Hyperthermia
- IV Therapy
- Injection Therapy
Chemo is scheduled for every three weeks for possibly nine chemo treatments. These treatments will take place immediately following a round of chemotherapy and these session will be $5000 per chemo cycle.
We as a family are struggling to bear the large costs of these treatments and any financial support to help our mom is deeply appreciated. Please keep her and us in your prayers during this difficult time.
