Life hasn’t been easy for our mom. She’s a nurse who has spent her life caring for others, even when her own world was falling apart. As a single mother, working tirelessly to give us a better future she never complained, and never let us see how much she struggled. Her love and resilience have been the foundation of our lives.
But now, our mom needs us. She’s in a hospital in Nepal, fighting kidney failure. The doctors have told us she needs a kidney transplant and ongoing treatment to survive. Even now, as she battles this illness, she’s still working as a nurse in the same hospital where she’s being treated. She’s caring for others, even as she fights for her own life.
The cost of her treatment is overwhelming—$50,000 for the transplant surgery, donor expenses, medications, and hospital stays. In a country like Nepal, where there’s no insurance or financial support, every treatment is private and out-of-pocket. For us, this amount feels impossible, but we can’t give up on her.
What hurts the most is that we can’t even be by her side. One of us is in Canada, the other in Australia, both of us students trying to build a future she always dreamed of for us. Meanwhile, she’s back in Nepal, alone in the hospital—no one to visit her, no one to hold her hand, and no one to wait on her. It breaks our hearts to think of her facing this battle without us there. She’s always been the one to fight for us, and now it’s our turn to fight for her.
We’re reaching out to you—our friends, family, and kind strangers—for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her transplant and treatment. It will give her the chance to live a healthy life and allow us to finally be there for her, the way she’s always been there for us.
Our mom has given everything for us—her time, her strength, her love. Now, we’re asking for your help to give her the chance she deserves. Please, if you can, donate to her fundraiser. Share her story. Keep her in your prayers. Together, we can give her the hope and healing she needs to keep fighting.
Thank you for being part of her journey. Your kindness means the world to us.
