Help Our Mom Cindy Beltrano Fight ALS

Hi, my name is Adriana, and me and my brother Francesco and father Aldo are fundraising for our mother Cindy. She was recently diagnosed with a genetic case of ALS. This has been tragic, painful, and unexpected, but we are staying strong for her and remaining hopeful and positive. The ALS gene my mom has is SOD1; fortunately, an experimental new drug called Tofersen, which has been shown to treat and slow down SOD1-ALS cases, was just fast-tracked for FDA approval. Tofersen costs $17,000 per dose and will need to be administered to her every month for the rest of her life. This drug will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to administer to my mom if it is not covered by Medicaid or insurance. Additionally, we will have to deal with hospital bills and other medical costs to try to prolong our mom’s life for as long as possible. Our mom has been the best mother imaginable, and she does not deserve this awful disease. We want to make the rest of her life as long as possible and as happy as possible. Please help us give her all the medical care she needs. All the funds we raise will go to our mom’s medical costs; any extra funds will go directly to the University of Miami ALS Center or to the ALS Association.
