In loving memory of Our Mama, Evadney "Vad" Garratt

Hello, I'm one of the three daughters of Evad, & I'm doing everything I can to allow our mom to have the best send off possible that she very much deserves. Anything that can be raised will be paid toward any funeral costs & honestly it will be a massive support that won't go unnoticed as we know it's a huge ask & lot of pressure so there is no obligation at all. To be blunt, we as a family have had trouble with the support from Gov.UK for support with the funeral expenses & while we are waiting on confirmation, our funeral directors have informed us to get the ball rolling paying anything we can. If I'd have been brave about asking for support but we honestly wasn't prepared for this tragic situation. I know this is a huge ask but whatever anyone can donate will be much appreciated & it's really important just don't want to let her down.

The funds will be paid for the fees towards church, burial & coffin etc (everything else will be matched).

Mom passed away suddenly on the 25th March 2025 on her birthday at the age of 62 from a number of health issues predominantly after been diagnosed with leg ulcers & a peri umbilical hernia infection. She were on palliative care from the 17th February this year & after 4 weeks in Walsall manor, she got discharged & went into a nursing home to start pain management & antibiotics. However in the 6weeks of diagnosis, she'd had a bowel perforation which we thought was being controlled, but developed several abscess infections. After 11 days in her nursing home, she'd had low blood pressure & was struggling to get in liquids & food. She was admitted on the 24th March with sepsis that were causing low oxygen & and they were nothing they couldn't do apart giving her antibiotics & 3liters of fluids. After a night & a half a day being on end of life, she sadly took her last breath that afternoon just before an ambulance had been arranged to take her back to the home.
