Today our hearts are heavy. Our son, brother, friend, life-partner, father Lucas, was detained by ICE and taken into custody, and we are still trying to understand what is happening, how long he will be there, and what will happen to him.

Lucas was at work when ICE showed up at his job site and took him into custody. This was completely unexpected. He has no criminal record and has never been in any trouble.

He has a partner and a beautiful new baby girl. Lucas is mature, hardworking, and the primary financial provider for his family. With him being detained and so much still unknown, this puts his family in a really vulnerable position.

Lucas is the kind of person anyone would be grateful to have in their life. He is kind, intelligent, and cares deeply for his family. He loves reading, spending time with his friends and family, grilling steaks, loves his dog, and is always there for the people in his life. His laugh lights up every room he enters.

The fundraiser is created to support Lucas’s partner, Laura L., and their baby during this incredibly uncertain time, including basic living expenses and any additional support they may need to help protect him in this situation. The funds will initially be received by me, Madison St. Onge, and I will be transferring 100% of the funds directly to Lucas's girlfriend, Laura L., through a bank transfer.
