Our loving friend and father, Kamal Nakkour

Hi, my name is Ali Cross and I am fundraising for our amazing friend, Kamal Nakkour. Many of you know Kamal from the best and only Mediterranean restaurant in Kitsap county, Aladdin’s Palace in Silverdale. After 27 years of feeding our community with the best Lebanese cuisine you can find, Kamal and Basseema were forced to lock their doors for the last time in 2021. Following the closure, to say these past 18 months were difficult would be an understatement.

Last week, our prayers were answered and Kamal received his new heart but he is currently recovering at UW Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition. His amazing wife, daughters, and close family have spent day in and day out at the hospital praying for a safe and healthy recovery. Due to his critical condition, Basseema hasn’t left the hospital, sleeping in the waiting room and eating cafeteria food has become her norm. His immediate family has traveled to and from the hospital daily, hospital meals are getting old, and exhaustion is setting in.

I am asking you to help donate to this amazing family and pillar of our community during this difficult time as their patriarch is recovering from a difficult heart transplant surgery. The Nakkour family has served our community for almost 3 decades and it’s time for us to come together to return the service. Anyone who knows Kamal would say he is strong, loyal, and most of all has the biggest heart - let’s help support him and bring him home!
