How to love with your whole heart, because you were never seeing someone without holding them so close, looking into their eyes and saying I love you so much.

How to not say a bad word about anyone. I never heard you say a bad thing or gossip about anyone. Instead, you would say we should all love one another or how important forgiveness is.

How to brighten a room when you walk in. Because with you, it was instant. Like an aura of light followed you into any room you stepped into. The brightest shining light that was all you and we were blessed to bask in it while we could.

How to be selfless. Anything that was yours was open to anyone.

How to cope better with mental health issues. Over the last couple of years you changed. Your Facebook posts made me sad each time I saw them. It was like seeing someone who wasn’t you. But you could hide it enough to get discharged from every hospital stay. To not be “bad enough” to be taken in from the crisis center 6 days before you would be gone. To have friends stop coming around. Through this, we learn to advocate for mental health to be prioritized, to end the stigma, to sit by that friend that needs us and to fight for those suffering from it. Your mom fought so hard for you and the system failed you. Not her but the professionals failed you.

How to love God above it all. The way you had so much faith. No doubts. Don’t worry about them because they just moved on to heaven. You were never shy to speak your belief. You were steadfast.

How to smile through pain. You had been through so much in your life and still that beautiful smile came through time and time again.

How to be a beautiful mother. Marti was so blessed to have you as his mommy. The one he would run to and the way you beamed when you spoke about him.

How to be your authentic self. 100%. You did not care what anyone thought. You were a beautiful artist and that flowed through every ounce of your being. You weren't afraid to be 100% you and everyone can learn alot from that. You truly LIVED.

I could go on and on but anyone that knew you already knows what a special gift you were. I picture you spinning in the beautiful light with your golden wings and truly believe you deserve all of the glory that you are in right now even if it hurts so bad here on earth. The days are dark without your beautiful face. The mental health system failed you. I’m so sorry our sweet girl. You will be so missed until we see you again xo
