Anna Marie Bethea’s (known in her hometown as Annmarie),
Dream was to open a consulting firm in Hudson County. This firm would focus on helping adult schools on how to recruit and retain clients, who would eventually become referrals to the organization.
Her Personal History and Experience was the key to her success with these clients who suffered hardships. Her own journey was very challenging but, it made Annmarie a much stronger person.
As a single mother of two children, she understood the importance of education for women looking to enter the workforce.
She welcome the challenges of others, but did it in a loving way. Annmarie was a Christian who believed, “Jesus walks with me, I am never alone.”
Annmarie would advised clients on life skills necessary in order to succeed in their chosen careers. She was sincere and honest in her communication which earned her the love of the clients. Most clients that completed their courses and where placed in jobs always came back to say, “Thank you, I would have never made it if you hadn’t believed in me.”
Annmarie and I became close friends, for over thirty years. It was my honor to helped her in ways to realize her dream. Annmarie acquired work with various schools. In a powerful way, Annmarie would bring her life skills and character into guiding clients. In these past thirty years, she helped thousands of students with choosing a career.
Unfortunately Cancer happened, and when she was diagnosed it was already at stage four. Her doctors were amazed by her stamina and how she fought to live. God called her on November 18th. Her spirit will forever remain with us..
Unfortunately, Annmarie had no insurance and spent the last three years in and out of hospitals, battling her cancer. She spent more time in the hospital than in her home. Family Services paid her rent, but the bills pile up in the last three years. Your help is greatly appreciated to finalize some outstanding obligations. Her family thank you form the bottom of their hearts, for your support.
There are special people in our lives who never leave us, that’s Annmarie. We will always remember our moments with her. Let’s not cry because it's over, smile, because she happened in our lives. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart. Rest in peace my sister.
