This is our son nickey jrn.who was born at 27 weeks premature in the coombe hospital on the 03-05-23.

From the moment our son took his first breaths, he has been a warrior.He has bravely faced a series of daunting health challenges, including T21, chronic lung and congenital heart diseases, a cleft lip and palate, hyperthyroidism, pulmonary stenosis, pulmonary hypertension, and an atrial septal defect. Despite these hurdles, our little hero has shown us what true strength is, proving time and again that he's not giving up—and neither are we.

Our boy was transferred to crumlin hospital where he spent 8 months in hospital.This journey has been incredibly tough, and while he has defied the odds with his resilience, our son’s battle is far from over. He requires round-the-clock care, being PEG fed and on long-term oxygen support, and was heartbreakingly discharged for palliative care.

This was an upsetting time for us as a family but we were not giving up on our little man and we contacted many hospitals in the UK and America too see could we get a second opinion and we were put in contact with a hospital in Boston where nickey jrn now is on a lung transplant list.
