Our little sausage dog, Sasha, is currently fighting for her life.

Two days ago, she became trapped under a heavy amounts of tin in 40 degree heat. By the time we found her, she had suffered severe burns across her body, had been crushed, and had gone into shock and heat stroke.

We rushed her to the vet immediately, and since then she has been in and out of emergency care across two different vet clinics, doing everything possible to keep her alive.

So far, we have already spent $21,000 trying to stabilise her.

Yesterday, we transferred her to another vet who has given us a small bit of hope, she has a chance to survive. But she will need to stay hospitalised for at least a week, receiving intensive care, wound treatment, pain management and monitoring.

The estimated cost for this next stage is another $15,000.

We are completely heartbroken and overwhelmed. We never imagined being in a position where we might not be able to afford to save her.

She is the most loving, gentle little soul and a huge part of our family. Watching her go through this has been unbearable, but we are not ready to give up on her while she still has a chance.
