Support Ultan
We have set up this GoFundMe page on behalf of the Howard family Fanore. Patrick and Stefanie's precious little boy Ultan is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia in Dublin. Together let's rally around Ultan and his family, showing them they are not alone at this difficult time.
Ultan's parents would like to give you a brief insight into their sons diagnosis;
"Hi everyone,
We just wanted to write a little note about our little hero Ultan.
Last December our world was turned upside down when Ultan was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Ultan then went into spontaneous remission which meant the cancer in his blood went from 7% down to 0.045% through him fighting it himself. We were so grateful he did not need to have chemotherapy. Everyone in Crumlin was shocked, doctors and nurses alike, they had never seen a case like this before. Ultan continued to have bloods taken weekly in Galway University Hospital which were all coming back with good results until May when we got the dreaded news that his Neutrophils had began to drop. We were scheduled to have another Bone Marrow biopsy in May to check his progress but unfortunately to our disbelief we were notified that the cancer had returned. We were devastated. Ultan now has his first round of Chemotherapy over him and will be soon going for round 2.
Our little darling Ultan celebrated his second birthday in Crumlin hospital on June 1st without his big brother, family and friends. Our lives have been turned upside down.
We appreciate your support,
Patrick & Stefanie."
Ultan's mother Stefanie will update this page when the opportunity presents itself but for now Patrick and Stefanie are focusing on their precious son Ultan.
