Our Little Foxx

Meet 5-year-old Foxx, a beautiful young girl, who has shaken the heat of many with her recent cancer diagnosis. While many children and families prepared for the great return of the new school term (parents), and laughter and play with friend (children), Foxx and her family was receiving news that has changed the course of their lives forever.

On the day of her starting a new chapter in year 1 at school, she received her diagnosis, a family’s worst nightmare. Her bravery has really touched many within her school community and has made us aware of how little we know and understand the effects illness have on families. What makes Foxx so special, is that she is forcing us to be proactive in stepping outside our comfort zones, and join others, who have been fighting, and continues to fight the challenges and changes brought on by illness. You don’t ever realise the magnitude of something until its right on your doorstep.

I cannot begin to imagine the emotional, physical and mental pain her loved ones are faced with. The last thing any parent wants to worry about is, the financial cost of surviving this journey. However, with your help and support, this can be eliminated from the list of struggles.

The idea behind this fundraising, is to create a support network for Foxx and her family. This can only be achievable with you. Therefore, please, I am asking for us to join in helping. With a decreased ability to work for the next year, any contribution would be very appreciated and a blessing even if it is something small to help with parking or fuel to and from the hospital, stickers for her wiggleys (central line) wigs and hats and comfortable clothes that aren’t tight on her stomach.
