Hello everyone! It’s that time of the year! This fundraiser is for decorations, and repair of the statues. THIS YEAR WE ARE BUILDING NEW FLOATS. This is not by choice but necessity. Please message me to sponsor a float, which will be named after the person or organization of your choice. This year I am dedicating the procession to 3 beloved women in my life. My beloved Nonna Maria Belmonte. Many know she dedicated her life to OLMC parish and school. Maria’s sauce and meatballs made our festival a regular success! Nicknamed La Nonna della Scuola!!! Maria is also well known throughout the Detroit Shoreway for her catering at annual meetings. My beloved Cugina Rosamaria Belmonte. She had a strong urge to keep our Italian culture alive for future generations. Her thoughtfulness and support of my artistry brought our annual procession into the the 21st century. My beloved friend Donna Gonyon, a friendly and familiar face for many years at the door of the Villa Roma. Her efforts brought many accomplishments to OLMC and Detroit Shoreway neighborhoods. They are treasured and never forgotten!!!! Please help keep our strong Italian traditions alive!!
