Our kids make it to the State Swimming Carnival
Donation protected
They did it! Our incredible kids from our little Wilsons Creek school made it to the state swimming carnival at the Olympic stadium in Sydney. What an amazing achievement for a school of just 23 students. We are so proud of them, especially after overcoming recent trauma from disastrous fires and floods.
Four of our students from three different families will compete at the Olympic Stadium in the freestyle relay. They have won every carnival they have competed in so far, coming first at local, district, zone and regional finals.
With strength and bravery each race they have improved their time and their commitment to their swimming and to each other is inspirational. They absolutely deserve to go as far as they are able. However, there is one problem. The families can’t afford to travel down to Sydney and take their kids to the carnival. Without funds the kids won’t able to compete. So we need your help…
We need to raise funds to fly the families down to Sydney and back, and provide them with accommodation and transport for the duration of the their stay.
We have greatly reduced the cost of our trip by doing thorough research into the best and cheapest accomodation and flights we could find. We don’t have to pay for the accomodation until we arrive.
Our flights will cost $1500
Our accomodation is costing us $3300
Public transport we estimate will be roughly $500
This little bit of support will make a massive difference to the kids, the families, our school and our community.
Thank you
