Hello my name is Inky Garza and actually I have never done this before in my life. I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and a story that has touched every corner of our families lives. It’s about the strongest woman I know, my wife, Teresa. She’s the heartbeat of our family, a woman who makes sure everyone is taken care of and makes everyone’s life easier before she even thinks about herself. It’s her strength that binds us all together. Recently she’s been facing the biggest challenge of her life: brain cancer.

A few short weeks ago, after enduring persistent ringing in her ears, an MRI revealed a stark new reality for us - a golf ball-sized tumor in Teresa’s brain. That changed everything for us. As you could imagine all kinds of things went racing through our heads, but the greatest fear was losing my beloved. The surgery that followed marked the beginning of a battle we never expected to fight. But our God is faithful, It was a moment that changed everything, a moment that brought both fear and an outpouring of love.

In the days and weeks that followed, we were overwhelmed in the best way possible - by messages, calls, and visits from friends, family, and even strangers touched by Teresa’s story. Many of you asked, “How can we help?” or “Have you considered a GoFundMe?” The truth is, we had not thought about it, but it was your encouragement, your requests, and your genuine desire to support us that led us here.
