Our “daughter” Jenny Metcalf is having a rough time. Justin, our son, brought his girlfriend (we mean fiancé) Jenny into our lives almost five years ago. From the moment we met Jenny we knew she was part of our family. Luckily she and Justin are meant to be together and on August 25th they finally took that big step to make it official and got engaged in Hawaii.
This wonderful memory quickly took a turn in the wrong direction. Jenny was not feeling well and a few weeks later we got the terrible news. On September 28th she was diagnosed with cancer. Jenny has classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 3B. Jenny will be going through an intense 6 month period of treatment including chemotherapy. Anyone that knows Jenny knows she is tackling this challenge head on and will beat it for sure.
Obviously during her treatment there will be added expense. Additionally, their income will be greatly affected. While Justin and Jenny have savings to get through times like these I am hoping we can help a little bit.
We are looking for good thoughts, well wishes and anything else you would like to do to let them know you care.
We will give updates here on Jenny’s progress in beating this terrible disease.
