Our JCI Ukraine Family

Colleagues:

As we enter into the spring season (for those of us on the northern hemisphere), we often reflect and think about the coming months. Our world continues to rapidly change and evolve with real time events impacting “normalcy.” One such event is the war in Ukraine. I am sure you have seen the news casts and videos that show the impact of the war on civilians and the broader Ukraine community. It is very difficult to imagine the day to day impact the war has on the population since we are so far away from the day to day threats. But we can still help in small ways. As you may be aware, Liliia Shatalov’s parents live in Ukraine and have been sheltering in place….and sometimes going mobile to stay safe. In the spirit of one JCI, we are setting up a go-fund-me site to provide them some additional support. This is not mandatory nor a sponsored JCI event….it is simply all of us, coming together, to give a little bit of help to Halyna and Anatolii as they try to have some normalcy in their day to day life.
