We are April and Elmo

Between us we have 2 children. We married in August 2019 and hoped to complete our family with 1 more child. For the last 6+ years we’ve had heartbreak month after month.

Our diagnosis - Unexplained infertility - this in itself is heartbreaking and leaves so many questions unanswered

We seeked private fertility as the NHS won’t fund us, but all we could afford was IUI. We paid for 2 rounds of IUI and both failed, we can continue with IUI however the chances are very slim and we have to save for several months to fund it each time.

Our best chance to conceive is via IVF

One round will cost us around £5500 this includes but not limited to medications, egg retrieval and embryo transfer.

Whilst we continue to save towards our dream, time is unfortunately against us. We have just over 1 year before we would incur additional costs towards the treatment.

Everyone that knows me, will know that I do not like asking for help - so to do this and ask for help is a big thing and I have been thinking about it for quite sometime but not plucked up the courage. I am opening up and letting people see into our lives.
